How to write a useful Ruin regional partnership proposal

Explain your local community, team, experience, and plans clearly when requesting a Ruin region or proposing to help run one.

A regional partnership proposal is most useful when it explains the people and responsibility behind the idea. Saying that a country needs a Ruin server starts the conversation, but it leaves the team with many questions. A clear proposal describes the community you hope to serve, what you can contribute, and which decisions still need discussion.

Separate a region request from a partnership

A region request tells Ruin that players would like a community in a particular place. You can explain the country or region, the people interested, and why a local community would matter to them. You do not need to pretend that you already have an operating team.

A partnership proposal goes further. It says that you want to help run or develop that regional community. Explain who would be involved, the experience they bring, and the responsibility they are prepared to discuss. Use Grow with Ruin to identify which kind of conversation you are requesting.

Describe the local community

Tell us who you hope will take part. What languages would help them communicate? When do they tend to play? Where have you already had conversations with interested people? Be honest about what you know and what is still an idea.

A small group you understand is easier to discuss than a large audience claim without context. If you mention numbers, explain how you arrived at them and avoid presenting interest as a guarantee of future participation.

Explain the team and its limits

Describe relevant community, organisational, or technical experience in concrete terms. What did you do, what responsibility did you hold, and what did you learn? A short example is more useful than a list of impressive titles.

  • Who is the main contact for the proposal?
  • Which people are already involved, and what could they contribute?
  • How much time could the team realistically commit?
  • What support would you need to discuss with Ruin?
  • Which parts of the plan are not yet decided?

Connect the local idea to the Ruin identity

Every Ruin server uses Ruin Framework, our private custom framework. Explain what interests you about contributing to the Ruin network and how you would approach a regional community within that shared identity. A clear introduction helps the team understand how your local experience could contribute to that network.

The review is a chance to understand the proposal before discussing next steps. Keep your first submission readable, factual, and focused. Highlight the strongest part of the idea, explain the support you would like to discuss, and give the team a clear way to contact you.

Leave room for a real discussion

A useful proposal makes the local need understandable and gives the Ruin team a clear person to contact. It opens a focused conversation about the people, work, and direction behind the idea. Explore the current regions, read about Ruin Framework, and submit a thoughtful introduction to the community you would like to help build.
